The CGRB Core Laboratories (formerly the Central Services Laboratory) provides services in four areas.

Genomics DNA Sequencing, High Throughput Sequencing (Illumina & 454), genotyping and fragment analysis       Functional Genomics NimbleGen and Affymetrix GeneChip® microarray services       Biocomputing and Bioinformatics Bioinformatics, biocomputing, and microarray analysis       Imaging and Image Analysis Confocal microscope and image analysis

 The Core Labs also manage shared instrumentation for microscopy, real-time PCR and computing.
