Custom Array Policies
1. Samples must be provided in specific 384-well plates with matching lids
- Genetix part # X7022
- Contact Caprice to purchase plates from CGRB Core Labs or get the current Genetix quote number for this part
2. Samples should be at a specific concentration or quantity
- 0.5 µg/µl for oligos
- 0.15 µg/µl for PCR products
3. Samples must be in a starting volume of 15 µl of spotting buffer
- 1.5M Betaine, 3xSSC: Corning UltraGaps
- 150 mM sodium phosphate: Corning Epoxide, GE Healthcare Codelink
4. A pilot print (e.g. 10 slides) for every new array design will be performed to verify that the resulting array is of acceptable quality for batch printing. This pilot print is ordered online as a regular print request.
5. The researcher will not touch any of the moving parts of the Microgrid during a print run. If there is a problem or an emergency during a print run, the run will be aborted.
- A new run will be scheduled once the problem has been addressed by the CGRB Core Labs.
- The CGRB will make every reasonable effort to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
6. Following a successful print run the microarray slides will be held in the CGRB Core Labs until checked for quality.
7. The CGRB Core Labs provides a quality control step using a DNA stain before arrays are available for experiments.
8. Arrays can be stored in a desiccator for up to 6 months.
